Call for Nominees for the InformNorden IT-Award 2017

You may remember that Ulf Bjersing from Hogia won the IT Award in Reykjavik 2015 and gave an Award winners presentation in Helsinki in 2016.
Now it is time to nominate someone for this year and for the conference in Aalborg on 13-15 September.

Public Transport is in focus more than ever and what could be better than promote good ideas that make public transport attractive and efficient.

We think it is important to highlight people and contributions that are rising above the ordinary. Therefore we established the InformNorden IT-Award and it has been handed out at 11 conferences. The winner get three things:

  1. A unique sculpture,
  2. Eternal attention and fame and
  3. She or he must come back next year to give an Award Winners Presentation.

The previous winners are:

2003 Thore Brynielsson, Sweden
2004 Jens Mogensen, Denmark
2005 Matti Raino, Finland
2006 Stefan Fjällemark, Sweden
2007 Krister Nordland, Sweden
2008 Johannes Sloth, Denmark
2009 Torbjörn Barslett, Norway

2011 Mika Vuorio, Finland and Niels Mortensen, Denmark
2012 Hans Andersson, Sweden
2013 Hanne Nettum Breivik, Norway
2015 Ulf Bjersing, Sweden

Now we ask you all for help to find the 2017 Winner. We want you to come up with nominees for the 2017 InformNorden IT-Award.
Here are the rules: He or she must be working in the Nordic countries and has come up with a major contribution to Public Transport with some sort of connection to IT.

It could be hardware or software, it could be a new innovation or smart use of existing technology, it could be a whole system or a small gadget of some kind, it could be a new way of using something old or an old way of using something new. It could be a lot of things! Your imagination and experience is the only limit.

When you come up with a name, you send an e-mail marked “Nominee IT-Award 2017” to krister.nordland@skanetrafiken.se with the name and why you think this person should be the 2017 InformNorden IT Award Winner. I need your suggestion latest 30 June.

Krister (with no right to vote) will present the nominees for the InformNorden planning committee, who will vote for a winner.

The winner will be announced at the Conference dinner in Musikkens Hus, Aalborg on 14 sept 2017. Thank you for your help!

Hopefully see you in Aalborg !
